Fire Eagle Location Sharing

Use Fire Eagle to share your location with family and friends, and to locate them on the slopes. To use Fire Eagle, do the following:

1. Sign up to use Fire Eagle services (free) if you haven’t already done so. Do this through the Fire Eagle web site.

2. After sign-up, return to JH Tapped settings, and tap Activate to authorize JH Tapped to exchange information with Fire Eagle. When you are presented with the authorization screen, be sure to allow JH Tapped to see and to set your exact location.

3. To share your location on the slopes with family members or friends you must take two further steps:

• Specify how often you want JH Tapped to update your location with Fire Eagle. Tap Update to set the interval at which your location will be updated with Fire Eagle. If you set When I ask, JH Tapped will update your location each time you tap the button when the Trail Map is on display.

• Give your family and friends permission to see your location via Fire Eagle. Tap Authorize a Friend to Find Me. This will prepare an email message to send to the person or persons who will be allowed to see your location. The message contains a link with authorization information. When the recipient opens the message on her or his iPhone and taps the link, their copy of JH Tapped will be authorized to see your location.

4. To review or edit the list of family members and friends who have authorized you to see their locations, tap Friends.
